One of my personal favourite cannabis strains is Bitter Melon from Hydropothecary. With approximately a 14%-16% THC content and 0% CBD, this calming indica strain is sure to get you ready for an evening of relaxation.
When you open your first jar of Bitter Melon you may smell hints of citrus with a very faint undertone of something bitter or almost a slight peppery scent. I guess they were spot on with naming it “Bitter Melon”!
This strain is great for later evening or before bedtime medicating as it has a mid-level THC content, which aids in things such as sleep and relaxation. This strain has greatly helped me with insomnia and some mild before bed anxiety. After consuming this strain, you will feel your body and muscles begin to relax. This helps with things like mild muscle tension and minor aches and pains.
You will also begin to feel the psychoactive effects of the THC in this strain, which can make you feel lethargic or even sleepy. The psychoactive effects can also help some patients focus less on their minor aches and pains, which is an added benefit for some patients. I find this strain also helps with general evening relaxation.
If you’re anything like me, you may find yourself struggling to wind-down after a stressful day, or slowing your mind down enough to fall asleep at night. In these cases, a strain with mid-level THC like Bitter Melon could possibly do wonders for you! If you are new to cannabis, or specifically new to THC it’s important to remember to start low and go slow, so you avoid having an experience that is anything but positive.
You can find Bitter Melon in Hydropothecary’s H2 line. Priced at only $10 per gram and free shipping on all orders this strain really provides a “bang for your buck” so to speak.
